ANNA and Nathan got married! And they’ve shared their big day with everyone. You can too — see our online form below and tell us all about your nuptials!

THE BRIDE: Anna Kirkby, 22, events assistant

THE GROOM: Nathan Elgey, 26, cabinet maker

THE LOVE STORY: The couple were set up through a friend in 2014 on a blind date. “We (later) went down to Melbourne for his birthday and the day before (April 9), he proposed,” Anna says. “I thought something was strange because his mum kept calling him, but as soon as we were somewhere private he got down on one knee and proposed. A year later, on April 9, the day before his birthday we got married, so now he has no excuse not to remember our anniversary.”

THE BIG DAY: April 9 with the ceremony and reception at the Kirra Hill Community and Cultural Centre. “The best part of the day was seeing how happy everyone was ... walking down the aisle, getting married and coming home to take my shoes off! We were married the same night as the Surfers Paradise SeaFire and — silly me — I told everyone we would be able to see the fireworks from Kirra Hill. They were like a glistening speck in the distance. Everyone thought it was hilarious.”

THE DRESS: A Sherri Hill two-piece, ordered through an Australian supplier. “I loved the fishtail skirt and the boho top — my take on beachy but feminine,” Anna says.

THE SOUNDTRACK: The newlyweds had their first dance to Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams. “It was unintentional — our MC asked as to the dance floor and we weren’t ready!”

THE HONEYMOON: Cancun, Mexico.
