An independent bridal shop is calling for nominations for a bride-to-be to win her dream wedding dress.

The Ivory Attic in Tredegar is asking people to nominate a bride who has a heartfelt story to give her the chance of choosing her perfect gown from the boutique.

The shop is launching the competition to celebrate its first anniversary and hopes to be able to give one deserving bride the dress of her dreams for her big day.

After all nominations have been received, the shop will select three finalists to go through to a public vote on Facebook.

The bride-to-be with the most likes will then win a dress of her choice.

The competition, launched by owners Sarah Green and Nicola Williams, states: "As we count down to our first birthday here at The Ivory Attic, we would like to give one lucky bride the chance to win their dream dress from the boutique.

"We have received wonderful support during our opening year so we wanted to run this competition as our way of saying thank you."

To enter, email and explain why you, or a bride-to-be who you would like to nominate, deserves to win a gown.

You will also need to include your contact details and a photo of the bride.

The two runners-up will receive 20% off a dress of their choice.

Entries close on August 7 and the store will announce the three finalists on August 10.

Voting, via The Ivory Attic's Facebook page, will close on September 4 and the winner will be announced the following day.

The prize is non-transferable and orders must be placed by December 1.
